Avium Ltd’s Event Medical Team finished our season on a high this weekend. What a great event the Illuminator run is! We were positioned at the finish area and the light zone half way around the course.

The Avium squad were across at Banchory providing Medical and First Aid cover at the Beast Race. We had a team of 11 as well as our VW 4 motion and our Polaris ATV.
Lots of happy and smiling faces taking on the 10k Beast Race at Knockburn Loch.
Well done to all 2200 people who took part in several different waves. Lots of hilarity from the competitors as they tried to jump hay bales, dive under buoys and negotiate nets!
Awesome day providing first aid cover for The Cairngorm adventure Triathlon 2018 based at Loch Morlich.
The ‘CAT’ is a 3km canoe, 25km bike and 5km run. Fantastic locally run event supporting local athletes.
We had a mobile team out on the Sluggan pass, which followed the main body of competitors round as they completed the bike and run sections. We also had a team based at the beach and the finish area.
Avium are providing medical and safety cover for the Cairngorm section of the Starman Night Triathlon, hosted by True Grit Events.
The event comprises of a 1.2mile swim in Loch Morlich, 56mile bike around Speyside and finishing up with a 13mile run up Cairngorm and Meall a’ Bhuachaille and then back to the beach at Loch Morlich.
Event Medical Cover in the Cairngorms!
A busy time for us just now, last sunday we were providing the Medical Cover for Aviemore Triathlon and this weekend we'll be taking care of the Medical and Safety Cover for the Cairngorm section of the Starman Night Triathlon.
Aviemore Triathlon
We set up at @badaguish at 8am and went down Loch Morlich to cover the swim section. The loch was calm, and a balmy 17degrees!
After the swim, the competitors hopped on their mountain bikes and looped the Glenmore forest, with some gnarly single track at the top of badaguish.
Lastly, the run. They headed up towards the Sluggan pass and finished off back at the event hub at Badaguish.
Another awesome event by Durty Events , well done to everyone who took part!
