We had a rather wet day proving medical cover for the Loch Ness Beast Race, which was in stark contrast to the beautiful weather earlier on in the week when when went for a pre event recce.
With a yellow met office weather warning for rain, the Beast Race was always going to be a bit tougher than the previous years sunshine, despite the poor forecast over 2100 attended to raise money for Chest Heart and Strike Scotland.
The heavy rain gave us the opportunity to put our specialist equipment to good use, with our ATV doing multiple trips to recover competitors back to our treatment tent.
